Since its inception, the Linden Lodge has taken no state funds but rather operates exclusively on fundraisers and donations from the private sector.
A team has been assembled to help individuals successfully maintain psychiatric stability and assist, if possible, with meaningful employment, volunteerism in the local community and the pursuit of educational opportunities.
Residents, staff and volunteers work side-by-side to develop treatment plans, set goals and discover ways to successfully realize them. Success depends upon the ability to inspire partnerships between residents, staff, board members, volunteers, organization partners, medical providers and the larger community.
In 2014, the Sandhills Wedding and Events Association committee decided to choose an organization to be the recipient of the monies raised by the entry fee to the SWEA Wedding Expo. Linden Lodge was chosen and for the past 3 years, has been the beneficiary of this endeavor.
The Wedding Expo has grown in popularity for both exhibitors and visitors over the past few years and is now a must attend event within the bridal community. This year saw record numbers in both exhibitors and in brides and grooms and the committee was delighted to be able to raise over $900 for the Linden Lodge.
“We really wanted to do something to help the community”, says the SWEA committee “and the Linden Lodge was a perfect choice for us. The dedication shown by Marianne and her staff to help their residents live their life in a real family setting, with activities, educational and even employment opportunities is something that we, as a committee, wholly support and we are proud to be able to help the Linden Lodge with the donation from the Wedding Expo.”
