Bob and Traci Huber believe their life’s purpose is to demonstrate the love and grace of God to people who have been deeply affected by mental illness and addictions. They serve in the mental health and addictions field on a professional level, and have also been prepared by personal experiences.
Bob serves as the manager of Bridge of the Sandhills, LLC. He began work in the mental health, substance abuse, and intellectual disabilities field after completing his undergraduate studies at UNC-Chapel Hill. Bob has worked in a variety of settings and roles in the field over the past 19 years, and throughout his career has explored the dynamic connection between faith and recovery.
In July 2012, Bob earned his Master of Arts in Christian Studies from Crown College in 2012 while serving as Director of Worship at Sandhills Alliance Church. He currently works with the Hospital Transition Team in the Sandhills region of NC, and volunteers as both a lay counselor and a worship musician at Christ Community Church in Pinehurst.
Traci currently serves as a volunteer with Bridge of the Sandhills. She is a Certified Medical Assistant who is experienced in providing compassionate care in both medical and psychiatric settings. Both she and Bob are closely involved with the Linden Lodge Foundation and NAMI-Moore County, serving alongside those who provide excellent cutting-edge care and support for people and families affected by chronic mental illness. Bob and Traci live in Aberdeen, NC and stay busy trying to keep up with their four children, ages 19, 16, 13, and 11.
